This company has large clients in the FMCG and Chain Store market, dealing with large volume, multiple item entries onto the Pastel accounting system.    You will be a mature and experienced OPEN-ITEM Bookkeeper who can handle pressure of high volume  entries, extremely accurate data capturing, and also sound expertise in reconciling this type of accounts and making payments.   

 

Preference for someone from the South Peninsula or surrounding area, who has own transport, and has at least five years of solid bookkeeping experience after completing a technical bookkeeping course.  This is not a junior position.   Good communication skills essential.

Our client, a market leading manufacturing company, based in the Cape Winelands, seeks to employ a recently graduated Costing or Financial Information Systems candidate for a newly created role.   This role requires a dynamic, vibrant and energetic candidate, who is looking to forge a career in inventory and stock management, as well as planning and managing systems within a production environment. 

 PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO THE COMPANY’S SKILLS DEVELOPMENT PLAN, CANDIDATES RESIDING IN THE PAARL OR CLOSE SURROUNDING AREAS WILL RECEIVE PREFERENCE.

 The position does not justify relocation, at such a junior level and the graduate programmes cater for graduates from the Cape Tertiary institutes, as part of the development plan.

 The requirements to meet for consideration follows:

  • You will have a tertiary qualification in either Cost and Management Accounting or Financial Information System, could with 1-2 years’ experience in costing and information systems management, as well as experience in running material control on an ERP System.
  • Advanced Excel skills is essential, coupled with a sound understanding of stock valuations, stock cataloguing, material/production costing, variance reporting and who has a naturally sound business acumen, to ensure profitability and eliminate stock losses.
  • You will have excellent communication skills, the ability to effectively problem solve, be efficient in project management principals and be assertive and naturally lead a growing team.
  • You will have a clear credit and criminal record and all qualifications will be verified, as well as references conducted with previous employers and lecturers.
