Our client, a global leader in the manufacturing/distribution sector, seeks to employ a qualified and experienced candidate for a role as SAP Solution Analyst for their Logistics and Distribution division.  This role has very specific criteria and requirements for shortlisting so please review carefully before applying. 

  • You will have completed a BComm, BSc or related IT related qualification, coupled with 3-5 years in the following modules – SD, MM, PP, SCM, QM and SAP-Retail).
  • Ideally, you will have a CPIM accreditation and have SAP Enterprise support tools experience.
  • You must have a good working background on business and systems management within a distribution and supply chain environment, as well as being able to provide end-user training, providing input for solution management and understand a production to retail supply chain process.
  • This role is strictly BEE and preference is given to candidates from the Western Cape, due to the urgency of the role.

The main responsibilities will be:

This position based in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town, has a focus on vulnerable children, and provides support and foster care for those children who are abused, orphaned or neglected, and requires a person who has the passion, energy and commitment to take the leadership role in all facets of the operations of the organisation.

 The key performance areas of this new position include inter alia:

•   Provide overall strategic leadership and direction with particular reference to Vision 2020 implementation

•   Ensure proper governance and oversight

•   Ensure compliance with all applicable legislation

•   Maintain donor / stakeholder relationships and source new funding opportunities

•   Ensure implementation and maintenance of financial management systems and donor reporting

•   Human resource management of all staff

•   Management of the implementation of monitoring and evaluation database / systems.

 The successful candidate will be required to have:

•   A minimum of 8 years senior management experience ideally gained in the Non-Profit sector, preferably with sound Operations

      expertise, and a strong understanding of the diversity and demands of this style of organisation.

•   Previous strategic management input and an ability to identify problems,  and come up with solutions.

•   A consultative general management approach and a willingness to engage with and learn from the experience of others.

•   Experience and skills in human resource management, budgeting and financial management, combined with sound computer skills.

•   Experience and skills in fundraising and building and maintaining donor / stakeholder relationships to sustain the organisation

•   Demonstrated communication and networking capabilities, including building partnerships with community and civil society

      organisations, corporate and government organisations.

•   Previous experience in evaluating impact assessment of monitoring and evaluation systems an added advantage.

•   Ability to carry high workload and work under pressure

•   Excellent written and spoken English. (Fluency in Afrikaans and /or isiXhosa an advantage though not essential)

This crucial position is to appoint an Operations DIrector reporting to the Executive Director, who will assist in   building up the management level within this pro-active and dedicated organisation, working to creating awareness around prison offenders, their families and a safe and secure environment for South Africans.  You will have a strong identity with the mission of the organisation, and be able to be able to work within legal and advocacy areas pertaining  to the rights of offenders, as well as to build awareness which will create a more successful rate of offenders returning to take their place in society.

The Operations Director is responsible for planning, organising and controlling all activities on a National basis, and to provide leadership to all Area Managers across nine Provinces.

The core functions of this role are:

  • To provide Strategic and Change Management direction within this organisation while at the same time driving high standards of

Service Delivery through various projects and services.

  • To enable, empower and develop Area Managers and potential managers within the organisation
  • Setting out of Annual and projected long term Business plans, in line with the overall direction of the organisation
  • Project management and ensuring controls and systems in place for effective project success
  • Financial management, budgeting and systems control for ensuring effective use of donor funds and assisting with raising of funds where possible through use of network and links to donors.
  • Control of statistical and market related information in this sector, for effective use and benefit of the organisation and its objectives

The ideal candidate will have the following qualities and qualifications:

  • Preferably a degree in Operations Management,   Community Development, Criminology, or related fields.
  • DEFINITE SENIOR MANAGEMENT experience WITHIN the NON-PROFIT  SECTOR – a minimum of eight years at management level
  • Contributing to the strategic direction of the organisation through the Executive Director and providing strong support in this area.
  • Extensive background in Programme Management within this sector, including budgeting, planning and reporting
  • Sound specialist knowledge of Human rights, Gender issues, Advocacy and Communications.  Fundraising experience would be a highly recommended attribute as is the ability to contribute to the visibility of the organisation through communication within corporate connections.
  • Experience will include strong ability to network within the correct sectors,  and be able to represent the organisation in meetings with a variety of stakeholders to generate interest and expand funding potential.
  • Sound leadership capacity in terms of HR and staff mentoring ability, as well as facilitation skills, and excellent written and verbal capacity and IT skills in terms of reporting. (EXCEL)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving capacity and a practical, transformational leadership style is required.

  • MANAGEMENT OF STAFF and VOLUNTEERS who form a crucial part of this service entity.  This will include capacity building, ensuring training and performance meet standards, and therefore a sound knowledge of HR and LABOUR LAW is crucial.
  • FORMULATION OF and improvement of all POLICIES AND PROGRAMMES to meet the objectives and standards of the organisation, and a benefit in this case, would be strong PROJECT MANAGEMENT expertise.

  • NETWORKING ABILITY and the expertise to identify partnerships both in terms of funding and operational needs.

The position will require:
