This position requires a person who has a VALID  UNENDORSED  CODE 8/EB DRIVER’S LICENCE and a minimum of two years driving experience especially of light vans, as well as a minimum of  HANDLING LARGE VARIETY OF ANIMALS – dogs, cats, snakes, pigs, sheep, cattle, goats, horses etc.

You will be expected to assist inspectors in handling all types of animals who at times, are in distress, and need careful handling, and which are brought to a safe animal sanctuary for care.   You will need to be able to work after hours at times, and rotate duties as required from time to time dependent on work load.

This long-established small non-profit organisation performs a crucial function within this Health Service Organisation and this role, to drive the overall management and success of the entity, calls for a well-experienced Senior Executive Manager, who has both experience of the non-profit sector as well as experience of the health services environment,  if possible.

  • Sound ADVOCACY experience and a strong ability to partner with relevant, experienced organisations working in this field
  • NETWORKING ABILITY and the expertise to identify partnerships both in terms of funding and operational needs.

The position will require:

  • Sound experience of STRATEGIC Management at Director Level; understanding operational excellence, accountability and providing clear inspirational LEADERSHIP
  • Proven Qualification and sound knowledge of the NGO/NPO/ Humanitarian sector is a key requirement for this position.
  • Sound Financial management principles,  financial fiduciary duties
  • Fund-raising: understanding and experience of the fundraising landscape locally and globally
  • Health care sector: Working knowledge of the SA national health care system
  • Understanding of all SA laws as well as Global Protocols Regarding Children and their Rights.

Our client, a leading manufacturing processing and distribution company, seeks to employ a BEE Integration Analyst for SAP, for their operation in Cape Town.

 The crux of the role is to manage the system landscape directory for integration platform, configure alerts, as well as design, develop, manage configure and support related integration between various SAP and non-SAP systems in A2A and B2B.

 Please note that ideally, you will be resident in Cape Town and if not, you will carry your own interview and relocation costs.  

  • You will have completed an NQF level 6 IT qualification, coupled with 3-5 years’ experience in as an Integration Analyst, with SAP XI/PI or PO experience, including PI Architecture and Adapter Framework. 
  • You will have proven Windows and SQL 2008 + with integration to NetWeaver 7.4 + and SAP PI value mapping skills

If you can relate to children in special need, you would be able to align yourself with this organisation that is seeking to appoint a well-experienced and highly competent Fundraising Manager, who will raise income through the Corporate, Trust and Foundation markets, both locally and internationally, while managing a small team who generate income through individual giving, bequests and social media requests.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • To lead and support the Fundraising team, and co-ordinate all avenues of income generation and to meet target each year.
  • To ensure that the strategy is in line with organisation objectives, and is implemented accordingly
  • To build strong relationships and networks with current and potential funders, charitable trusts, high net worth individuals and  key donors.
  • To research funding sources locally and internationally, raise plans and strategies, and write funding proposals to increase the       income,   and to maintain high standards of written and digital communication in all areas of the department .
  • To participate in Fundraising events, meetings, and networking activities
  • To ensure all volunteers are motivated, managed and engaged in assisting with the smooth running of the organisation

 The ideal person is a highly driven, motivated and energetic individual, with excellent communication and managerial skills, who has been involved in generation of funding for a minimum of eight to ten years, and who brings a strong network, good understanding of the Non-Profit sector and the intricacies and mechanisms of generating income across all avenues and income streams.

 As this position is the role that provides the main income stream for sustainability of this organisation, we are only considering candidates who have previously generated a minimum of R5 million per annum in previous roles.  This is a higher target, and therefore a proven record of at least this level is required.

The emphasis of this fundraising position is to develop and manage an individual giving programme for this prominent organisation.   

As part of the Resource development team, you will facilitate relationships between donors, projects and programmes and present the organisation’s projects to donors and  potential donors across a broad spectrum of  funding sources.   Ideally you will be creative,  able to develop new concepts, and implement new avenues of funding, needed to cover the costs of the projects and programmes run by the organisation.

We are only considering people who have been in fundraising and have been responsible for generating at least a minimum of R2 Million per annum in donor funds.

The individual tasks and responsibilities will entail:

  • Development and management an individual giving programme
  • Identification of potential donors (individuals and organisations)
  • Presentation of projects to potential funders
  • Bequest programme development including liaison with estate executors
  • Maintain membership programme and retain regular givers
  • Secure gifts in kind when possible
  • Manage off-site collection through volunteers
  • Manage 3rd party fundraising platforms such as Givengain, OMTOM, MySchool MyVillage MyPlanet
  • Strong Communication and Presentation skills in at least two of South Africa’s mainstream languages.
  • Previous involvement in formal fundraising and  a good marketing mindset.
