Our client, an international market leader in the petro-chemical, lubrication and oil industry seeks to employ industry specific sales specialist, at a senior level, for their regional operation in Cape Town.  The role is highly specific and requires oils, lubrication and/or petro-chemical product and manufacturing process experience, it is not a generalist sales role but one of a sales specialist requirement. 

  • You must have completed a tertiary qualification in Engineering or Marketing, coupled with 5-10 years’ experience in corporate sales and business development of products in a competitive market. 
  • You must have extensive business acumen and experience in developing and executing business development and marketing plans to identify new customers, market new products, address quality problems and ensure profitability through effective customer relationship call cycles. 
  • You must be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal and be able to plan effectively to ensure supply chain efficiency to customers, manage customer credit, develop repeat revenue  and meet business plan targets and KPI’s
  • You will also be fully au fait with HSEQ policies, keep up to date on market trends, new product development and quality issues to address speedily to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • You will be well presented, articulate, professional and an ambassador to a global brand.

Our client, a market leader in the field of lubricants and oil processing, seeks to employ a highly skilled and experienced candidate for their regional office in Johannesburg.  Please note that the ideal candidate will have experience in oil, lubrication or petroleum processing experience, due to the industry specific requirements of the role. 

In order to be considered, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You will have completed a BSc degree in Engineering (with preference to Chemical Engineering) coupled with an advanced qualification or post grad qualification in Business Management Studies; a member of the SACI would be highly advantageous.
  • In addition to the qualifications, you will have a minimum of 10 years working experience in the petro-chemical and/or lubricant industry, with 3 years in a senior management capacity taking responsibility of the following:
    • Staff management,  to include recruitment, resource management, performance management and identifying training requirements and motivation to exceed KPI’s
    • Furthermore, you have been fully responsible for financial control of the department to include reporting on department budgets, financial status, providing input into annual business plans, monitoring and acting on monthly and annual sales performance and profit margins and ensuring the meeting of annual targets and budget KPI’s, as well as manage internal business processes, develop strategies and execute plans to maximise profitability.
    • You must have working knowledge of the management of business plans to include accurate costing, pricing and implementing controls for base chemical business units, as well as enforce good corporate governance practices, such as anti-bribery and corruption policies, protection of personal information policies, codes of conduct and business ethics policies, etc
    • You will have gained extensive experience in managing customer relationships to ensure customer service delivery satisfaction, as well as resolve any problems and facilitate the resolution of non-conformances with internal stakeholders.
    • You must be well presented, assertive, dynamic in approach, articulate and have natural leadership abilities, with contactable references and an impeccable work ethic.
    • The role will require a marginal amount of travel per month

Our client and market leader in the field of lubricants, oils and Petro-chem bi product processing, seeks to employ a qualified and experience senior engineer for their facility in Durban.  This role is not suited to graduates, as it requires a high level of expertise within the relevant industry field and, does require a solid understanding of product development within the Lubricants and Oils sector. 

 The role is highly specific, with the minimum criteria being essential to meet, as below: 

  • You will have a BSc Engineering degree (NQF 7 level)  in Mechanical, Chemical or related Engineering, coupled with 8-10 years’ experience in the processing of oil and gas or Petro-chem bi-products, with at least 5 years’ experience in the R&D of new product development of oils, gases and lubricants,  to maximise profitability and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • You must have exceptional interpersonal skills to be able to interact with customers, train staff and customers on new product specifications, present trends to customers and work hand in hand with sales staff to retain and develop relationships
  • You must be up to date and keep abreast of market changes in technology, be able to conduct feasibility studies and ensure that the company keeps on track with technological advances and changes in requirements.
  • You must be presentable, articulate, have high energy levels, be a brand ambassador when dealing with customers and have the interests of the company at heart, to ensure market share remains unchanged and improves.
