An established multinational electrical maintenance service company, specialising in the electrical maintenance field for corporate petro-chem clients across South Africa, seeks to employ a strong and energetic TRADE TESTED for commercial maintenance projects in the Western Cape area. The role is specific to those who have worked in the petro-chem maintenance sector, dealing with site and not machinery maintenance.  The company manages subcontractor maintenance at service stations and depots.

 Only candidates currently resident in the Cape Town/Helderberg area will be considered, due to urgent operational requirements and requirement to start immediately.

 Please note: that this is NOT suited to a candidate from heavy current installation or plant equipment maintenance sector and is geared toward candidates experienced in fault find, maintenance and knowledge of SANS codes. You will have expert fault finding skills on electrical systems and circuits and be extremely well presented and well-spoken for field related work on customer sites.

 You must meet the following criteria in order to be considered:

  • You must have a valid driver’s license and a minimum Single Phase or 3Phase wireman’s license and recognised trade test
  • You will have 2-3 years’ experience in leading small teams on multiple sites and maintenance projects simultaneously, as well as experience in managing materials on site and customer relationship building (being professional, well presented, prompt and courteous)
  • You must be eager to learn, energetic, adaptable and well presented, with excellent communication skills in English(written and verbal)
  • Be experienced in Electrical site inspections, installation testing, estimations for quotations, materials management, planning and be customer service orientated.
  • Experience in generator fault finding and UPS repairs a distinct advantage
  • You will have the ability to work at a quick pace with little to no comeback on the quality of your work
  • An understanding of HSE systems is required – (proof of permitting and HSE certificates advantageous), with experience in site, vehicle and team safety
  • Experience in the petro-chem/hazardous chemical environment and working at heights  is highly advantageous
  • You will be required to work overtime, sleep away, work weekends and be on standby when required (rotation schedules are in place)
  • You must be medically fit and client medical assessments (according to their internal standards) will be conducted
  • A clear criminal record will be verified and a list of contactable references is mandatory

Our client, a progressive market leader in food and beverage packaging and printing manufacturing sector, seeks to employ a dynamic leader, to manage the sales team in their regional offices, as well as generate revenue through developing business and managing Key Accounts.  The ideal candidate will be from the Gauteng area, with an already developed customer network

 The position has the possibility of further career development and therefore, we require a candidate who is a natural leader, with a proven track record of staff motivation, developing new business in the packaging and industrial printing sector and natural business acumen to ensure targets are met and customer relationships are developed and maintained. 

  • A tertiary qualification is advantageous, however, you must have 8-10 years’ experience in sales management, staff development and providing effective leadership, within the packaging and/or industrial printing sector.
  • You must have experience in developing sales strategies, implementing retention policies, fully managing the KPI’s and performance of the sales and sales support teams, negotiating contracts and SLA’s with new customers, ensuring policies and procedures are in place for world class customer service and ensure the staff are working optimally across the region.
  • You will be fluent in English and Afrikaans, be professionally groomed, able to communicate at executive level and have sound technical understanding to be able to problem solve customer related problems along with the Technical Manager.
  • Advanced MS Office skills is essential, as well as the ability to generate reports and provide the General Manager and Sales Director with monthly and annual statistics and sales figures.

Our client, a national market leader in the field of innovative industrial packaging printing, imaging and labelling, seeks to employ an energetic, well presented, go-getter, with prior working experience in a highly target driven sales and product support environment. 

The position does require extensive cold calling, new business development and canvassing of potential new leads in the Gauteng area and potentially, also further afield, therefore previous working experience in the above sectors is essential, calling on manufacturing companies, factories and packaging plants, with a solid understanding of technology similar to laptops, printers, software and office automation. 

Please note, that although we will not exclude candidates with a suitable background, the role is highly technical role, whereby the person MUST have a solid understanding of the packaging and print sector.  It is NOT media print industry but manufacturing print and the person will have to have a sound technical background to be able to provide technical support, as well as solutions to potential customers. 

In addition, you must have completed Matric, have your own reliable transport, a valid driver’s license, fluency in English and Afrikaans and advanced computer literacy for presentations and database/CRM management.

You must have business acumen, understand profit margins, be an expert negotiator and be able to work independently, draft your own presentations, quotations and estimations, as well as act as the main liaison between company and customer during installation and maintenance/service contracts.
