This established but small business is looking to appoint a new CAD DESIGN ENGINEER with sound design skills on  CAD -  draughting, configuration and management for mechanical system components of these manufactured systems. The nature of the business is in fabricating and installing mechanical, software driven,  process equipment in specialised fields.   The person that will be successful in this role is likely to have a Mechatronics or related degree and strong experience in 3-D draughting in a similar style of operation.   This is a small business requiring a good level of expertise, and input into this area of the operation.

 You will specify, allocate or partition boundaries of systems and subsystems to define the terms of functions, performance and architecture under the constraints of reliability, cost and ergonomics. The need to innovate, improve and utilization of advance technologies will be inherent to the job activities.

 The outline of this role includes:

  • Design and innovation of mechanical process systems as well as ensuring that non-mechanical sub-systems are optimally integrated

into the mechanical system.

  • Manage site reports so as to plan improvements
  • Ensure quality and standards are adhered to.
  • The ability to identify problem areas and use initiative to find solutions.
  • Providing regular feedback to management and ensuring there is good communication with the factory.
  • Adherence to cost and safety implications and regulations.

Preference will be given to people who can readily access these Premises in Somerset West.

Our client, an oil and gas, marine and mining engineering services provider, seeks to employ a BEE Technical Sales rep, to cover business development within the Gauteng region. You must have your own reliable vehicle, be able to travel across the Gauteng, Free State and Limpopo areas and have a strong technical aptitude, with an outgoing personality and background in Sales

 This is junior role, in order to upskill and develop transformation within this sector and field of business, therefore, you must have a technical aptitude, coupled with a desire to follow a career in Technical Sales, preferably with a sales track record in securing business and developing relationships .  An understanding of the Oil & Gas or off-shore mining sector would receive preference. 

 You must have above average communication skills, especially in English, coupled with 2-3 years business development experience, with a proven list of business secured and contactable references.

An understanding of this industry’s technical requirements is essential and ideally, you will have tertiary education completed in a similar field.

You will also be administratively competent in order to manage sales reporting, have had exposure to tenders, drafting quotations, presentations and customer account administration.

You will have a clear credit and criminal record, all qualifications and references will be verified.

 Please note:  the salary is a lower basic but the commission structure for secured business is on a fairly high scale.  The position does require a candidate who is from the Gauteng area, due to the requirement of being well networked within the industry and also, knowing the region and therefore being able to identify leads and business opportunities.

Our client, a market leader in the packaging manufacturing sector, based in the Cape Winelands, seeks to employ a qualified and experienced candidate to take over stock and materials planning for production, as well as managing the production stores.  This is a position for a candidate looking for career growth and development and who has a proven track record in accurate planning and stock level management.

 

The requirements to meet for consideration follows:

  • You will have a tertiary qualification in either Supply Chain Management, Cost and Management Accounting or Financial Information System, could with 2-3 years’ experience in Stock Planning, Materials Management and the formulation of Stock policies and procedures for effective materials control within a fast paced manufacturing concern.
  • You must have experience in running material control on an ERP System, as well as Advanced Excel skills, coupled with a proven track record in stock valuation, stock level cataloguing, change management, material costing, variance management, implementing new policies and procedures to effective manage stock losses and who has a sound business acumen to ensure profitability.
  • You will have excellent communication skills, the ability to effectively problem solve, be efficient in project management principals and be assertive and naturally lead a growing team.
