Our client and market leader in the field of lubricants, oils and Petro-chem bi product processing, seeks to employ a qualified and experience senior engineer for their facility in Durban.  This role is not suited to graduates, as it requires a high level of expertise within the relevant industry field and, does require a solid understanding of product development within the Lubricants and Oils sector. 

 The role is highly specific, with the minimum criteria being essential to meet, as below: 

  • You will have a BSc Engineering degree (NQF 7 level)  in Mechanical, Chemical or related Engineering, coupled with 8-10 years’ experience in the processing of oil and gas or Petro-chem bi-products, with at least 5 years’ experience in the R&D of new product development of oils, gases and lubricants,  to maximise profitability and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • You must have exceptional interpersonal skills to be able to interact with customers, train staff and customers on new product specifications, present trends to customers and work hand in hand with sales staff to retain and develop relationships
  • You must be up to date and keep abreast of market changes in technology, be able to conduct feasibility studies and ensure that the company keeps on track with technological advances and changes in requirements.
  • You must be presentable, articulate, have high energy levels, be a brand ambassador when dealing with customers and have the interests of the company at heart, to ensure market share remains unchanged and improves.

Our client, an International manufacturing and engineering services company, based in Paarl, seeks to employ an organised, energetic and well-spoken candidate, to assist the operations department, with administration and customer relations support either electronically or telephonically.

 This is a role that requires relevant experience in a manufacturing or engineering company and no candidate who does not meet the below requirements will be reviewed or contacted. 

  • You must have completed Matric, be fluent in English and have 2-3 years’ experience in the following:
    • Drafting quotes and estimations for customers on equipment, consumables and components for machinery (therefore attention to detail and good numeracy skills are essential)
    • Ensuring the correct stock has been entered on the system, ensuring the correct stock is booked according to the customer order and generate correct invoicing/credit notes, etc
    • You will have experience in large numbers of order processing of stock to be delivered, logging equipment failure and problems with technicians and managing all customer interaction promptly, according to strict deadlines.
  • You must also be willing to work extended hours if need be to meet strict deadlines, be able to handle large volumes of work and multitask effectively to ensure highly rated customer service delivery.
  • Experience working in a technical or manufacturing environment is essential.

Our client, an international leader in the field of industrial printing, labelling and scanning, for the food and beverage sector, seeks to employ a dynamic, well presented and driven candidate for their operation in Durban.  Please note that a solid network and knowledge of the area is required and therefore we will not be reviewing applicants who reside outside of the Durban area initially

 The crux of this role requires vast amounts of cold calling and you will have a proven record in the sale of imaging, scanning, print or equipment used in the manufacturing sector. 

 This role does require candidates from a technical background and ideally suited to somebody who has 3-5 years’ experience in providing print and labelling solutions to the production sector.

 

  • You will be self-motivated, target driven, professional in appearance and through your interpersonal skills and have high energy levels.
  • You must be prepared to travel across the KZN region, have you own reliable vehicle and an unendorsed, valid driver’s license.
  • You must be fluent in English, with the ability to converse in Afrikaans and have excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
  • You will have a sound understanding of profit margins, customer retention and generating additional business through customer service.
  • As mentioned previously, a vast majority of this role is new business development and therefore you will be comfortable to cold call and plan new business strategies.
  • A clear credit and criminal record is essential, coupled with a list of relevant and contactable references.
