 This position in a well-established company  supplying high quality sound systems and vehicle security and related products, requires a person who is aiming to be in a sales career, and looking to develop skills in retail sales.  You will need to have some background in the electronics or sound system field, and be able to pick up the technical aspects of the products quickly, so you can sell with confidence.

 You will be a self-starter with a positive attitude and keen to generate a good income through added commission earned, and your working style will be organised and systematic in order to  handle the related administration, product merchandising and shop upkeep.  You will have good presentation and communications skills, and ideally you have been selling similar style of products and have developed a sound customer relationship manner.

Your mission in this role is :

  • Ensuring monthly sales and presentation targets are met through new business development and repeat business from existing clients
  • Prospecting continually for new opportunities through cold calling and networking, and determining the client’s needs.
  • Continual service calls on a regular and systematically planned basis
  • Excellent presentations and proposals to prospective new clients across companies in the greater Western Cape which will involve travel to outlying areas.
  • To negotiate Service Level Agreements with clients to the benefit of both company and client.
  • Assist with the planning and marketing strategies within the sales team in the Cape
  • Being accountable for all supporting documentation and administration pertaining to the sales and clients in this portfolio.
  • To be full aware of competition and related trends and data in the field, so as to ensure effective sales in the future.
  • To have a full understanding of all aspects of the educational sector and related Government regulatory requirements

Our client, a market leader in the field of industrial printing and packaging, seeks to employ a new business development representative, to join their corporate and dynamic team. This role is strictly business development, with a highly technical component required in the field of Packaging, Printing and Labelling for the various food and beverage and pharmaceutical sector.   

The requirements to be met are highly specialised and only candidates from this sector will be considered for this role. 

  • You will have completed a qualification in Sales and Marketing, coupled with 3-5 years’ experience in new business development, within the packaging, labelling and packaging sector, working to target and generating revenue according to annual sales budgets.
  • You will have gained experience in managing an entire customer stock line, margin management, assist with graphics, new product estimations and quotation presentations, as well as renegotiating pricing annually with customers.
  • You must be fluent in English and Afrikaans, have above average numeracy and literacy skills, communicate in a professional manner (both written and verbal), be goal orientated and highly self-motivated.

 Please note that, ideally, you will be resident in the Cape Town area and have a well-established network within the packaging and FMCG manufacturing sector.  Our client does not cover costs for relocation or interview travel, therefore, preference will be given to those residents already in the area.

Our client, an international leader in the field of industrial printing, labelling and scanning, for the food and beverage sector, seeks to employ a dynamic, well presented and go-getter for their operation in Durban.  This role requires a vast amount of cold calling, you must be tenacious, persistent and commission driven.

 This role does require candidates from a technical background and ideally suited to somebody who has 3-5 years’ experience in providing print and labelling solutions to the production sector or alternatively who has worked in a “hard sell” environment, like office automation, PABX sales or any other highly competitive environment.

 

  • You will be self-motivated, target driven, professional in appearance and through your interpersonal skills and have high energy levels.
  • You must be prepared to travel across the KZN region, have you own reliable vehicle and an unendorsed, valid driver’s license.
  • You must be fluent in English, with the ability to converse in Afrikaans and have excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
  • You will have a sound understanding of profit margins, customer retention and generating additional business through customer service.
  • As mentioned previously, a vast majority of this role is new business development and therefore you will be comfortable to cold call and plan new business strategies.
