Our client, a national market leader in the field of innovative industrial printing, imaging and labelling, seeks to employ an energetic, well presented, go-getter with prior working experience in a highly target driven sales and product support environment.  Although this position is NOT in the Office Automation sector, preference either in the PABX /Office Automation sector is preferred, given the similarities in networked systems and requirements for COLD CALLING. You must have a tenacious “selling” character and a knowledge of networked systems. 

The position does require cold calling, new business development and canvassing of potential new leads in the Gauteng area and potentially, also further afield, therefore previous working experience in the above sectors is essential, calling on manufacturing companies, factories and packaging plants, with a solid understanding of technology similar to laptops, printers, software and office automation.

In addition, you must have completed Matric, have your own reliable transport, a valid driver’s license, fluency in English and Afrikaans and advanced computer literacy for presentations and database/CRM management.

You must have business acumen, understand profit margins, be an expert negotiator and be able to work independently, draft your own presentations, quotations and estimations, as well as act as the main liaison between company and customer during installation and maintenance/service contracts.

Our client, a packaging/food and beverage equipment specialist, based in Paarl, seeks to employ a well presented, articulate relationship building candidate, who has solid experience in the sale of high value mechanical equipment to the manufacturing sector, with a core focus being the Food and Beverage and Packaging sector. 

 The role requires a candidate who is able to travel an estimated 2 weeks a month, between Cape Town, George, PE and KZN and who has a solid network in the targeted sector, being Food and Beverage manufacturing and Packaging companies. 

 You must have good pace in your sales strategy, professional presentation and the ability to generate your own leads and follow up cycles.  It is a newly created position, thus requiring a candidate to start from scratch with little to no customer base.  It is a challenging role, requiring a polished, seasoned professional.

 Production equipment is not a fast selling product, therefore, we ideally require a candidate who understands this market and has the tenacity to see the sale through its various phases and who understands and is able to provide technical solutions

 An Engineering qualification would be advantageous but not essential, however, relevant experience and a proven sales track record is essential.

 You must be able to conduct a technical needs analysis for the potential customer, have a good understanding of the food and beverage production process for targeted sales of the right equipment to meet the customer’s needs and good planning skills for general call cycle and sales administration. 

 The successful candidate must be able to work independently, plan cycles accordingly and manage all administration and reporting required by management.

A progressive and expanding national freight/bulk transport company, based in Paarl, seeks to employ dynamic, target driven professionals to join their sales/broker team.  You MUST have experience in transportation/freight sales, account management, problem solving, effective route planning and work well as a team member, whilst generating new business and maintaining sound existing business relationships.

 Please note this is NOT a position for the courier or car hire sector, it is geared toward those that have experience working in bulk freight transportation and service.

 

  • You will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a relevant field, with a proven track record in successful business development and account management in this sector.
  • You will also have proven experience in the planning and coordinate pick-up and delivery schedules, tracking and reporting load status to customers, manage multiple deliveries, process spot requests and develop new sales strategies to improve business, negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with customers, ensure the company/brand lives up to the SLA’s in place and ensure a quality service by working closely with the operations, administration and financial departments.
  • You will be able to travel, be responsible for generating your own leads, be flexible and able to multi-task in a demanding and pressurised environment.
  • You must able to manage your own administration, generate sales reports and have natural business acumen to work smart and identify new business opportunities both locally and across borders.
  • You will have  a clear criminal and credit record and be able to support your sales track record with a list of relevant contactable references
